Community Mediation Center

Price Mediation is staffed by trained professionals dedicated to helping individuals, families, and organizations resolve conflict constructively and outside of the courtroom. As a community mediation center, we provide mediation across a wide range of issue types, including family mediation, landlord‑tenant disputes, small‑claims matters, neighbor conflicts, workplace concerns, and other civil disagreements. Our team combines mediation expertise, professional legal document preparation, and client‑centered support to promote resolution, reduce conflict, and expand access to justice.

Divorce & Legal Separation Mediation

We help spouses resolve divorce and separation issues outside of court, including timelines, disclosures, and settlement terms—reducing cost, delay, and conflict while keeping decisions in the parties’ control.

Child Custody & Parenting Plans

We assist parents in creating clear, workable custody and parenting plans that prioritize the best interests of the child and support long‑term co‑parenting.

Child Support

We facilitate agreements on child support that are fair, practical, and informed by California guidelines—while allowing flexibility that courts often cannot provide.

Spousal Support (Alimony)

Mediation provides a structured setting to address temporary or long‑term spousal support, focusing on realistic needs, financial capacity, and future stability.

Property & Asset Division

We help parties work through the division of community and separate property, including real estate, retirement accounts, and debts, in a cooperative and efficient manner.

Post‑Judgment Modifications

We assist families with changes to custody, parenting plans, or support orders when circumstances evolve—helping avoid renewed litigation.

Co‑Parenting & Communication Issues

Mediation addresses ongoing conflict between parents, improves communication, and helps establish boundaries and expectations that support healthier family dynamics.

Parentage & Unmarried Parents

About Price Mediation

Price Mediation is a nonprofit community mediation center that provides mediation and professional legal document preparation services designed to reduce conflict, cost, and uncertainty for families navigating divorce, custody, and support issues.


We help clients resolve disputes through structured mediation whenever possible, allowing parties to retain control over decisions affecting their children, finances, and future—rather than placing those decisions in the hands of the court.

In addition to mediation, we offer professional legal document preparation services, with or without mediation, for individuals who need accurate, court‑ready family‑law documents but do not require—or prefer not to engage in—full mediation services.


Our work emphasizes clarity, efficiency, and child‑focused outcomes, with the goal of helping families move forward with stability and dignity while avoiding unnecessary litigation.

Kathryn M. Price, M.S.

Founder and Executive Director
Kathryn is a mediation and legal professional with over 15 years experience in business management and family law. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in social work at USC.

Joshua Pinto

Paralegal
Josh provides dependable legal and administrative support to help individuals and families navigate conflict resolution services. Josh holds a BA in history from UCSB and a paralegal certificate from IVC.

Marianne Mandel

Partnership Director
Marianne serves as Partnership Director at Price Mediation, driving strategic partnerships that connect communities with accessible mediation services. Her work focuses on growing collaborative networks that support client-centered, solution-focused outcomes.

Alisa Daniels

Intake and Case Management Supervisor
Alisa provides neutral, professional support and helps guide clients efficiently through the mediation process. She is also a graduate student in Negotiation, Conflict Resolution, and Peacebuilding at CSUDH.

Chanali Henagama

Paralegal
Chanali serves as a paralegal at Price Mediation, assisting with client intake, case coordination, and preparation of legal documents. Her background in pre‑law and political science supports efficient, organized, and client-focused outcomes.

Lisa an a licensed attorney who is certified by the California State Bar as a Certified Family Law Specialist. She has been practicing law since 1991.
